Beyond the Wedding

Husband and wife duo, helping couples build lasting marriages after they say “I do.”

Build a Marriage That Lasts Beyond the Wedding

Most couples spend months preparing for their wedding day—but far less time preparing for the marriage that follows.

Research in relationship science consistently shows that couples who invest in intentional preparation and early support experience stronger communication, deeper connection, and greater long-term stability. Studies on premarital education have found improvements in relationship satisfaction, commitment, and conflict management, especially when couples are supported early.

The first year of marriage is especially critical. It’s during this time that communication patterns, habits, and expectations are formed, often shaping the trajectory of the relationship long-term.

Beyond the Wedding exists to support couples in this defining season, so you don’t just start strong, but build something that lasts.

Every relationship has an identity.

Are you in love with who you are becoming?

Meet Kevin & Deborah

We are a husband and wife team passionate about helping couples build strong, lasting marriages beyond the wedding day.

Married for over a decade, we combine real-life experience with professional training to guide couples through one of the most important seasons of their lives.

Kevin is an ordained minister with over 15 years of ministry experience and holds a Master of Divinity. He has officiated over 20 weddings and coached over 100 couples. His work and insight on relationships have also been featured in Essence Magazine.

Deborah is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) who has led over 500 sessions with couples, helping them navigate communication, connection, and growth.

Together, we are SYMBIS Certified facilitators, equipping couples with proven tools and assessments to build a strong foundation for marriage.

Kareem and Sandy Virgo

Working with Kevin and Deborah Richelieu was truly one of the greatest blessings during our wedding journey. From the very beginning, they poured so much care, wisdom, and faith into us, making sure that Kareem and I were not just preparing for a wedding day, but for a lifelong, God-centered marriage. Their premarital counseling through the SYMBIS was incredibly impactful. The questions challenged us in the best way, opening up conversations we didn’t even know we needed to have. It gave us clarity, strengthened our communication, and built a foundation rooted in faith, love, and understanding.

What makes their approach so special is that it doesn’t stop at the aisle. Even years later, we still reflect on what we learned through their guidance and the SYMBIS process. Those early conversations continue to shape how we navigate challenges, communicate, and grow together in our marriage. They are not just officiants, they are a true blessing to any marriage they touch.
